» Free Screenings of Food, Inc!
Yes, yes, we’ve heard the mixed reviews on Food, Inc. but you know, I have a meat-mouth friend who left that movie and hasn’t eaten meat since so hey, even if it doesn’t explicitly state that being vegan is the best thing you can do (which it obviously is) and isn’t as groundbreaking as we’d like, that’s still pretty all right.
The screenings are sponsored by Chipotle, which basically uses the rest of the Food, Inc. section of its website to act like the company gets all its dead animals from happy places where the pigs are rocked to sleep before they are given magic juice that whisks them away to heaven. Blow me, Chipotle.
Anyway, the screenings are happening all over America from July 14th to 30th, depending on location. The ones in the “Bay Area” are on July 16th at The Embarcadero in SF, and in Berkeley at the Elmwood on July 15th. Oh and in San Jose at the Camera 7 at the Pruneyard on July 14th. I mean, if you want to call San Jose part of the Bay Area. What are your thoughts on this, anyway? I could go either way.
