vegansaurus!

Berkeley has a new vegan book club and you’re invited! The first meeting is this Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m.

Molly from Nature’s Express gives these additional details (thanks Molly!):

At the meeting we will eat yummy scones, crumb cake, and tea (no charge, of course!), and decide on the book that we will read in February. 

The choices are: 

Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer,
Tomato Land by Barry Estrabrook, or 
Crazy Sexy Diet by Kris Carr

I’m so freaking jealous right now, because I love 1) vegans 2) book clubs 3) Berkeley 4) free food, but I live thousands of miles away so I can’t go! You ought to. Think of the starving vegans not in Berkeley.

And here’s my two cents on the book choice: If you haven’t read Eating Animals, you should vote for that one so you finally read it because it’s great. Otherwise, get three index cards, draw a picture representing one book on each of them, and then see which one your cat ignores the least.
