I asked my friends for ideas for unusual foods and they came up with a bunch of things. Someone mentioned loquats and the next time I went to the farmers’ market, there they were! They kind of look like small, oval apricots. I tried one and it was a little tart but very tasty. For dessert, I cut them in half, removed the seeds, and sprinkled them with sugar. Definitely awesome! Apparently, some people say that the seeds are toxic but others say you can make a liqueur with them, which will probably be my next project. Yay booze!
