Oh boy do we have a looker today! This is 11-year-old Haley from SF. She decided to be vegan earlier this year and is going strong. Congrats, Haley! Being vegan is the good life.

Vegansaurus: What is your favorite food?
Haley: Ike’s Place vegan sandwiches. [Ed. note: A lot of us are with you there!]

What is your favorite kind of birthday cake?
Any vegan kind of cake. [Ed. note: A lot of us are with you there!]

Why are you vegan?
I am vegan because I have seen animals being slaughtered on a vegan restaurant’s T.V. [Mom note: gotta love the vegan propaganda on TV at Loving Hut—except she was only seven and it made her cry] 

Do you like being vegan? Why?
I like being vegan because I get benefits out of it like losing weight and being healthier. [Ed. note: Girlfriend! Don’t worry about your weight! Being healthy is the only thing that matters!]

Is it ever hard to be vegan?
Haley: I guess it’s kinda hard being vegan because some kids at school call me a “cow hater” because I don’t eat burgers or cheese. [Ed. note: hahaha what? Shouldn’t it be COW-HUGGER? Oh, kids.]

What do your friends think about you being vegan?
Some of my friends totally support me being vegan. Others, not so much, but to those who don’t support me, I don’t pay that much attention to them.

What is your favorite animal? Why?
My favorite animal would definitely be horses or dogs (That’s two, but oh well). I love them because they are beautiful, gorgeous animals just like all the others, but to me they just outshine the rest.

Do you like pink dinosaurs? Can you draw one for us? We would love it!
