Sticky Fingers’ chocolate-on-vanilla xmas cupcake, with festive sprinkles and edible Christmas tree! We’d like to buy one of these little darlings for every member of Congress who voted yes on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell abolition and the shark-finning ban. Hate equal rights? Hate sharks? Fuck off, you get no cupcakes from us.

Ooh look, it’s vegan delights from Sticky Fingers Bakery: South Korea! What, you are saying, Sticky Fingers is where? Oh but it’s true! Vegans are EVERYWHERE and all of us want COOKIES.
So how is Sticky Fingers: Seoul edition? Here is the report from our international correspondent, Carrie Lorig:
Sticky Fingers was good for Korea. There were Mexican wedding cookies which always pleases me. I dragged two meat grinders with me and they said it was better than usual baked goods in Korea. But as far as vegan treats go, it was no America. I would’ve liked some higher quality ingredients and more spices. Still! a very welcome respite in this very not vegan country.
There you have it: pretty all right, especially for the country. Maybe because my traveling centers around the question: “Where can I eat delicious vegan food in this place?” but, I would totally go there. Wouldn’t you? At least for the novelty—which does wear on a person living in a place for a long time. But on a trip, absolutely. You have to explore!
We of course wish Carrie the best of luck with her vegan adventures. Thanks for the trans-Pacific news, Carrie!

» Take a survey! Win vegan cinnamon rolls! EASY.
I know this is a conflict of interest, but who cares? Not me and that’s all we have to worry about because really, if you’re so mad, close the page! Vegansaurus isn’t not the boss of you (unless you want us to be. If so, specify “sexually” or “not.” If sexually, it’s gonna cost you. A LOT. In both money and years of therapy, and possibly donuts).
OK so, as you probably know, I moderate the world’s largest and greatest vegan recipe website, VegWeb.com. It is the best. We’re running a survey right now to find out your favorite recipes on the site. The winners will be featured in fabulous VegNews. Pretty awesome, no? Plus, just by filling out the survey (takes LITERALLY ONE MINUTE), you have a good chance of winning a dozen cinnamon rolls from Sticky Fingers MAILED TO YOUR MOUTH. This is win/win, people.
So GO DO IT. Also, totally get the weekly newsletter (it’s an option at the end of the survey!) because I write it and it’s super-fun and filled with delicious recipes and giveaways and is beautifully designed and you have to have it PLEASE STOP QUESTIONING ME.

Vegansaurus Quickie: Washington, DC! »

I couldn’t go back to the east coast and not make a trip to DC. So, gosh darn it, that’s what I did! I only had time for a 24-hour whirlwind visit but of course I had time to go to Sticky Fingers! You may have heard of the all-vegan bakery in D.C., as certain Vegansaurs are a wee bit obsessed!!! with the place. There’s even an interview with the creator of their cute (badger?) logo! Ob. Sessed.
Don’t worry guys! You would have been proud! I spent $35 on pastries. YES I DID!
The bakery is in a different location then when I lived in D.C.; now they have this whole cafe thing going on, with brunch and everything. Pretty effing fantastic.
I also managed to stop by my friend Nick’s new wine bar, Room 11, for dinner. Score! They totally make vegan versions of their specials, you just have to ask! Check out this action: VEGAN BRUSSELS SPROUT PANZANELLA. Holy cannoli! It was awesome. And panzanella is fun to say. Then I had a yummy veganized risotto and proceeded to get SHWASTED because that’s just how I roll.
