You know Megan Rascal and I love cats in clothes, so you know I about died when she sent me to the CatAtelier Etsy shop. According to the Telegraph, it’s run by Julie Song; her model is her kitty Toki, and I’m going to quote her in the Telegraph in full now:
The idea of cats in clothes is something ingrained in me from childhood, from watching cartoons and reading books. I think most cats prefer to be naked, in their own fur, of course. My own cat, an Abyssinian, is extremely curious and wants to be involved in anything I’m doing. Toki is an amazing model. He actually sits down and poses now, which is really funny. He gives these bored model faces that are hysterical.
I’ve never met a cat who wore clothes, but I know your Vegansaurus canine pal Figaro is crazy about his outfits. Not all the CatAtelier accessories are vegan, but Toki does take an amazing picture. Those collars! Those caps! He’s better dressed than half the people I see every day!
