Hey L.A.: Come to The Kitchen and The Garden Patch cookbook release party! »
Melissa of The Kitchen and The Garden Patch contacted us the other day because her gorgeous-looking, eponymous cookbook is about to be published and she wants the whole veg world to celebrate with her. “Party?” we said. “We’re there.”
Unfortunately this party is in L.A.—Venice, specifically—and that is a bit far for your Vegansaurus, spread around the Bay Area, the East Coast, and somewhere in Central Europe at the moment. But you Southern Californians can make it!
On Saturday (that’s Nov. 6!) from 6 to 9 p.m., get over to Me & Blue at 566 Rose Ave. (at 6th Avenue) in Venice for fun party times, plus recipe samples. If you’ve never visited Melissa’s site before, you’re missing out; it’s beautiful, as she is a most talented graphic designer, and she’s created an eclectic mix of recipes, photos, videos, notes, facts, lists, and much more, all about veganism. Go have a look, when you’ve got an hour or so. And definitely go to the release party for The Kitchen and The Garden Patch! What kind of a Vegansaurus reader would you be if you didn’t take every opportunity for free food?
Update!: Before the book party, check out L.A.’s very first Vegan Beer Fest! It’s on Saturday too, from 1 to 5 p.m. at The Roxy! There will be 50 different beers from 20 craft breweries, five food carts, tons of live music, and it’s co-sponsored by our friends at Quarrygirl! Advance tickets cost $35 for general admission and $45 for VIP, which will increase to $45 and $55 on Saturday. All the details you need are here! We assume! Have fun and send us pictures!
