It’s peach season! And Vegansaurus pal Jerry James Stone has a neat little peach-buying guide to help you get your hands on the best ones and how to store them once you’ve brought them home. Last year, my parents’ white peach tree produced so much fruit, they’re still eating all the jam they made. Oh white peach jam, how I miss you.
Jerry James Stone made three-ingredient vegan ice cream to help us celebrate the Fourth of July in style! It’s just strawberries, bananas, and blueberries, so you can serve it to almost anyone. It’s so pretty, patriotic, and summery, not to mention totally simple. So make it already! Happy Fourth of July!
Speaking of excellent food to alleviate the pit of heat and humidity that is your airless apartment, how’s about Jerry James Stone’s spicy watermelon popsicles? They’re made with watermelon, tomato, and jalapeño, and they’re sweet and spicy and look absolutely glorious. Hail JJS, king of the homemade pops!
Meet Jerry James Stone’s gorgeous avocado gazpacho, with basil, cilantro, tarragon, chiles, limes, and heirloom tomatoes! And JJS wants yours to be the tastiest kitchen of the summer, he’s put together a page with all his vegan recipes! And they are glorious. Go, read, eat with your eyes, and get ready for a bountiful season of sunshine and delicious home cookery.
Jerry James Stone does it again! Today, a cucumber-green tea mojito, to celebrate the spring that has totally sprung in Northern California. Here on the other coast it’s all gray skies and wind and precipitation, but we can look on these beautiful drinks and dream of warmer weather, right? Sunshine in a glass.
Jerry James Stone is king of the cocktails! This is a beet and carrot cocktail with actual roasted beet and carrot puree, featuring tequila. It is a salad in a glass! Drink and be healthy, and happy because you are drunk on vegetables.

Jerry James Stone just doesn’t quit! Do you read Cooking Stoned? It’s not all vegan, but his vegan recipes are out of control. Look at these bulldog margaritas! You can tell a quality party drink when it looks like a party all by itself.
If you served them alongside his spicy butternut squash and black bean burgers (with quinoa and pepitas!), you would be the best Super/Puppy Bowl party host ever. Ooh, your friends would say, gourmet vegan food AND adorable animals playing sports? You are our favorite friend!
Alternatively, you could make them for your Oscars viewing party (Feb. 24). Bulldog margaritas and spicy burgers can improve almost any social gathering up to 43 percent!

Roasted pumpkin seeds three ways with our pal Jerry James Stone!
You guys aren’t afraid of roasting pumpkin seeds, right? My ma roasts hers plain to feed to her chinchilla, but we humans aren’t usually thrilled by such unembellished snacks. JJS has got three spice mixes for your pepitas: salted, maple and sea salt, and coffee and chili (ooh).
And a video, in case you’re better at watching than reading:
