Savour This Sauce is a Southern California company with a truly amazing product and the desire to canvas the United States with their ADDICTIVE-AS-HELL sauces. I love a good marinade, dressing, spread product and Savour This Sauce makes the best I’ve ever had. I tried the Thai Chile Cilantro dressing, Red Pepper Romesco, and the Pistachio Mint pesto, and they are each so unique and filled with fresh deliciousness, that I LITERALLY SPOONED THE JARS. I think spooning the jars is something they twee-ly encourage you to do on their website, but I legit did it. I might’ve licked them, too. Who can say. (I can and I did.)
Well, now they have a Kickstarter, and they need our help to grow their sauce empire. I strongly encourage you to make it happen. Here’s the plan:

Making sauce by hand is an incredibly humbling experience. Our goal is to make our product shelf-stable so we can be picked up by larger scale stores such as Whole Foods, World Market, Restoration Hardware and Williams Sonoma that require higher order volumes and distributors. These stores, combined with smaller independent retailers, will hopefully place us in over 1,000 stores over 3-5 year period of time.
This is where we need your help. We hope you will join us on our journey to grow our company. We have tapped into a rather underserved market by delivering sauces that are multifaceted (dipping, spreading, cooking, marinading) and available for use by people who lead vegan or gluten-free lifestyles. Our delicious food product also has great appeal to the general public who want add unique flavors to their meals.

It’s a good plan, because these sauces are BOSS. I’d love to see them nationwide, as I currently have to track them down around Los Angeles.
Trust me, you want this stuff all the time where you live. Make it happen.

Alphabet tofu! This is just a student’s design project and not an actual product, but what do you think? Dumb idea, Y/N? Would you buy? Fun for kids? What passive aggressive secret messages would you leave in your significant other’s stir fry? Discuss.

New awesome product: Dragon Lines Tempeh!  »

Last week I put up a tempeh recipe that even tempehphobes are into and we’ve featured In the Mood for Food dinner parties before. NOW TWO WORLDS COLLIDE. OR SOMETHING.

Philip Gelb  & Co. have released a line of artisan tempeh and it’s the best damn tempeh I’ve ever eaten. You don’t even have to steam this stuff before you cook it, it’s already tender and delicious. OH DON’T BELIEVE ME? Well, would you believe MILLENNIUM?* That’s right, Millennium has started serving Dragon Lines Tempeh because it’s so g-d good.

If you want some now, you have to order directly from them. It’s easy, just email and ask how you can get a bunch delivered to your face. You really should because this stuff is truly the best tempeh a person can eat in the entire world and you’re not better than Millennium, okay?

That’s all I got right now. I’m not feeling very writerly today. Or swearly even. I don’t know, maybe I’m dying.

*Also, screw you, I’m hella trustworthy in matters of food.
