This is Sarah the Ordinary Vegetarian VEGAN!’s new year’s stew! The recipe calls for collard greens, black-eyed peas, pearl onions, and turnips with a bunch of savory herbs—if it tasted anywhere near as good as it looks, it must’ve made quite a delicious dinner!

Ryann of My Whole Deal made SO MUCH FOOD over the holidays—if only we could show you all the photos she sent. These adorable mushrooms were stuffed with black-eyed peas and collard greens, and seem like the perfect way to get your good-luck new year’s food.

Reader Devin “finally tried a recipe from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World,” which effort resulted in this chocolate cupcake with chocolate mousse frosting and a blackberry topping! Devin says “it came out fantastic, and the omnivore family members loved it!” It is one adorable cupcake!

Pastafarian Kelly G., her husband, and their animals celebrated ChriFSMas this year with, among other things, “homemade some star-, candy cane-, and bone-shaped pumpkin pie dog biscuits.” Everyone celebrates! Except, says Kelly, Ozzy the cat, who is “on a diet. Plus he’s kinda mean to me.” Cats don’t care about Christmas, though, so it works out.

San Franciscans Jenn and Heather spent Christmas in Barcelona this year! For lunch, they made garbanzo bean and chorizo tacos with fresh salsa and homemade tortillas—all of it from scratch! Felices fiestas to you two, too!
