My omnivorous family made me a vegan feast!
Roasted potatoes, brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, collard greens, lentil loaf, butternut squash and sweet potatoes, roasted carrots.
Not pictured: green beans with caramelized onions and sweet potato soup. YUM!
We love the vegan-friendly omnivore families out there!
Vegan Thanksgiving plate: cider glazed sweet potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, corn souffle, mushroom gravy, stuffing, field roast’s celebration roast, cranberry sauce.
This looks good but I’m a bit distracted by how much I love that plate! Want it!
We had shiitake/leek stuffed seitan loaf with roasted potatoes and butternut squash, asparagus and yummy stuffing with mushroom gravy. It was my first vegan thanksgiving and it turned out fantastic!
Yay welcome to the vegan Thanksgiving club!
Hi guys! I’m taking over Thanksgiving pics today! First up is a lovely spread from Ariel!:
Kabocha squash and fennel bisque, mushroom gravy, Tunisian beet slaw, “lotus flower” salad (endives, pears, red onions, pecans and arugula with apple cider dressing), Mama’s spicy cranberry sauce, Seitan roulade with fig and chestnut stuffing, Brussels Sprouts with pomegranate, pistachios and molasses, heirloom tomatoes with fresh dill, pumpkin pie with a hazelnut paste lined crust…And mashed purple potatoes (not pictured). I’m so full, and so tired, and I need someone to help me eat the leftovers! At my dinner where I was the only vegan several guests volunteered to ditch the meat knowing that life could taste so good.
Sounds like a vegan success!
Okay, I lied! One more tonight because it’s very gorgeous and very tasty:
I had mashed potatoes, stuffing, Asian coleslaw, French onion soup, cranberry rhubarb sauce, and green bean casserole.
I’m really loving the amount of food I’m seeing on all these plates, it’s crazy impressive. Way to EAT, my friends. HAPPY THANKSGIVING VEGANSAURS!!
The tradition of staring at delicious plates continues tomorrow! Until then, let’s sleep PLEASE GOD I MUST SLEEP.
The wonderful Rick ate:

From the delightful Meghan:
Happy Alive-and-Free Turkey Day 2012! I’ve been vegetarian for twenty years but this is my first Thanksgiving as a vegan, so I’m unreasonably proud of myself. My plate is: homemade seitan (OMFG ALL MY VEGAN FRIENDS WHO DIDN’T TELL ME HOW AMAZING THIS STUFF IS ARE NOT MY FRIENDS), gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce from a jar like the classy lady that I am, stuffing with squash and sprouts, and kale salad with a maple/mustard dressing. And there’s apple crisp in the oven. I win at life.
DEEEELICIOUS! Happy Thanksgiving, Meghan!
And YOU! Don’t forget to submit photos of your tasty vegan Thanksgiving feast! Woo!
The lovely Ashley of Fat Bottom Bakery says, “I wanted to share this photo with you of our (technically pre-) Thanksgiving meal— all vegan of course! We had a ladies’ night on Tuesday and stuffed our faces with stuffing (from my family’s recipe), mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, salad with homegrown greens, roasted brussels sprouts, and cranberry sauce. Yes!”
