Vaute Couture is having a BIG sale! Get up on that, fools. Coat season is coming to an end in New York but I hear it’s über-cold in SF! Besides, they got some jackets for us non-West Coasters and hey, it wouldn’t kill you to plan ahead! If history is any indication, winter will be cold.

Matt & Nat, Vaute Couture on sale at Pure Citizen! »
Pure Citizen, which is like Gilt Groupe for eco/humane/fair-trade/etc. companies, is featuring vegan products! Every week they choose a nonprofit to highlight, and this week’s is Peta, so all their merchandise is vegan. Vaute Couture stuff is on sale until tomorrow; Matt and Nat until Friday, Feb. 11 (the sales last 72 hours). They also have a sale on cool vegan perfume company A Perfume Organic—I’m into their graphic design.
You have to register to even look at the stuff but it’s super-simple, you just have to put in your name. Bam! Easier than spotting a beard in Williamsburg. Still annoying but they say that’s the only way they can offer these LOW, LOW PRICES! So just register already, GOD.

Hey L.A.! Keep sample sale! The whole weekend long! »
All lovers of hot vegan kicks should get their Southern California-living selves over to Keep’s sample sale, happening NOW through Sunday at their Los Angeles office! Sample sales mean HUGE DISCOUNTS! And Keep shoes are remarkably true-to-size; if you wear a U.S. women’s size 7½, Keep’s size 7½s will fit just right, I swear. It’s amazing! Or maybe not, because they are default-women’s sized.
I’m super-into the Benton in organic glen plaid houndstooth; it’s a way-comfy shoe, and the mixed patterns in neutral colors mean they will go with roughly everything without being boring.
Keep’s sample sale runs today and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Keep is located at 418A Bamboo Lane, between Hill and Broadway (“up the alley from Phoenix Bakery”). Go on, dispose of some income!

Deal Alert: Mark Bittman’s How to Cook Everything Vegetarian! »
Amazon’s Black Friday sales are a weeklong series of “lightning deals” which kicks off today. How to Cook Everything Vegetarian, by Mark Bittman, goes on sale in two hours for (I think) just two or three hours, or until they’re all gone.
The price is hidden until then, but based on the sale price of the non-vegetarian version, it looks like it’ll be $17.50, which is half off the list price, and $5 off Amazon’s regular price. If you’ve been waiting to get this book, for yourself or for others, now’s as good a time as any!

» Major sale on Daiya cheese at Rainbow! HURRY!
Unlike everyone else at Vegansaurus HQ [Ed.: Except Meave!], I’m still a die-hard Follow Your Heart user. But I know you guys are all on the Daiya Cheese fandom, so you’ll want to jump on this. I’m anticipating mile long lines and bloody brawling because this is too good pass up. Quoted in its entirety from Rainbow’s Facebook page because I’m too lazy to summarize:
Just wanted to let you know that we are having a major sale on Daiya vegan Mozzarella/Italian style “cheese.” $6.99/lb until this batch is gone! This fake cheese is made with cassava root (like tapioca) and has been hugely popular over the last six months that we’ve been able to get it. We pack it in 16-oz. tubs and keep it in our cheese department. Only 300 lbs. at this price so don’t delay!
300 lbs! That’s two of me, IN CHEESE FORM. I’m going to buy it all and carve two vegan cheese statues of me to guard my front door like gargoyles.
