SF Vegan Drinks is TONIGHT! Delicious snacks and delicious booze, what could be better?! »
Are you going? Please say you’re going! We have an awesome group of people already attending (including the very wonderful and fun crew from VegNews, who are definitely the brilliant brains and brawn behind this whole event!) and are looking to broaden our reach to even more greatness! Which means, YOU! And then, when we’re all together, we’ll discuss world vegan domination because that’s an especially fun thing to do when you’re PLASTERED.
JK, JK, vegan drinks isn’t about getting super-drunk, it’s actually about eating sweet potato tater tots and beer-battered fried pickles until you pass out! Food, it’s my alcoholic beverage of choice. SEE YOU TONIGHT!
SF Vegan Drinks is tomorrow night! It’s your monthly chance to meet your fellow Bay Area vegans in the (cruelty-free) flesh. Check out that menu! Are fried beets any good? I mean, duh, what fried food isn’t good, but still! Beets!
SF Vegan Drinks happens from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, 2323 Mission (at 19th Street) in S.F. Check out Facebook for more info! Be there, or be sober and poorly fed!
And, of course, the original Vegan Drinks takes place tomorrow as well at Fontana’s Bar on the Lower East Side in New York. For more info (and there is a lot of info), visit the website.

The Vegan Drinks menu for tomorrow’s San Francisco event already had us salivating. And what better way to wash down a basket of pickles or a platter of sliders than with vegan piña coladas?
WE DO!!! A bucket, an ENTIRE FUCKING BUCKET. Done and done! And done again!
SF vegan drinks is tonight! See you there! »
Let’s do this, peeps. I’m feeling really confident this week, so maybe I’ll talk to strangers! I think it’s called networking? But I probably won’t; I like people to come to me so I can act awkward and blush a lot, all the while being a little bit overexcited. Winning mix, right? Let’s hang.
SF Vegan Drinks happens tonight, Thursday, May 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, 2323 Mission St. at 19th.
Drink specials are strawberry basil caipirinhas, $3 bottled beer, $4 well drinks, and $5 vegan white Russians! Featured vegan food includes sweet potato tater tots, beer battered onion rings, veggie burgers, and vegan summer sliders. Try not to make the same mistake I did last time and eat all of it in one sitting. The only thing I was acquainted with that night was the toilet.
Confidential to VegLovr: I saw that comment in the last SF Vegan Drinks post, and I think you and I were made for each other, no joke.
Oh, hell yes. It’s the food menu for tonight’s SF Vegan Drinks! Let’s get fat and drunk together TONIGHT! See you there!!
This month’s SF Vegan Drinks celebrates Halloween! »
It’s that time of the month again, and I don’t mean my PMS (although that, coincidentally, is also happening right now, so BACK THE FUCK OFF). What I mean is it’s time for SF Vegan Drinks, the monthly party sponsored by VegNews and your Vegansauri at Martuni’s. Swing on by tonight (Thursday, Oct. 27, 6-8 p.m.) to get drink-drank-drunk with us. In celebration of Halloween, the $5 drink special is a “Trick or Treat Martini” made with Stoli Chocolate Raspberry vodka, which sounds ah-mazing but also not really as All Hallows’ Eve themed as the copious amounts of vegan popcorn you can consume. If you’re very concerned about this discrepancy, just join me in having two or five of these drinks and you’ll feel much better.
Vegan Drinks SF is Thursday! »
The September installment of SF vegan drinks has been announced! You will be there on the 29, right? Cause Sarah M. Smart and I like to go to each table and introduce ourselves/make friends with everyone there. Actually, she is much better at it than me. I went back to our table after meeting about three people. It’s just so strenuous!
As usual, it’s at Martuni’s (corner of Market and Valencia). The veg drink special will be Pirate Punch — what it contains I cannot tell you, but there is not a doubt in my mind that it will be delicious. AND STRONG. Now you know why I keep going back.
See you there!
Help a vegan couple out, San Francisco! »
We got an email from a vegan person called Daniel, who is looking for a place to live in San Francisco proper along with his Special Person, Madeline. Generally, your Vegansaurus isn’t your Vegan Craigslist, but this email was awfully nice and we do try to practice tikkun olam. It’s the Golden Rule! Make the world better, treat others as you would be treated, live without violence, and help this nice couple find a place to live.
Disclaimer: Your Vegansaurus has never met these people, and cannot take any responsibility as to their mental/emotional stability and/or their ability to pay rent/be cool. But this email was pretty charming, and we just won an award, we can do what we want.
Without further dithering, please say hello to Daniel and Madeline!
Two vegan creatures seek a place to live in San Francisco.
Two adaptable, artful vegans with low interpersonal drama, seriously, aiming to move in August—timing is slightly adjustable. We’re a couple (he’s English, she’s a Texan) who moved to San Francisco from London almost four years ago. We like baking, cocktails, board games, documentaries, and live performance.
One-bedroom apartment OR house-share (unfurnished) OR a work/live space in San Francisco. Near a BART station preferable. Must be near public transportation; < $1,500 monthly rent/utilities. We’re specifically looking for SF due to Healthy SF coverage, otherwise we’d have been all set in the East Bay.
Kitty cats, vegan-friendly folks, collectives and social/private folks; we have experience living together, shared with others and as individuals.
We have current housing and employment references and look forward to meeting our new homestead. We hope you might help. Any leads or ideas you have are greatly appreciated!
Thanks for reading!
P.S. We will be at SF Vegan Drinks TODAY if you wish to say hello!*
*Your Vegansaurus highly recommends meeting anyone you wish to rent to/live with/engage in whatever personal relations with in a safe and public place before making any kind of decision. And anyway, Vegan Drinks is good times.
Yo! Bunches of Vegan Drinks happening tonight and if you go to the NYC one, you can experience our Megan Rascal DJing! »
Our the one and only Megan Rascal is djing at tonight’s NYC Vegan Drinks. Woohoo! I’ve been spending a fair amount of time in the same turntable rooms as that heifer and she can SPIN. She’s got all the fly tunes to make your vagina pop. If you’re not dancing to her sweet sounds, I don’t know what you’re doing, but we certainly can’t call it living, can we?
If you’re in San Francisco, check out S.F. Vegan Drinks, which we co-sponsor with the lovely VegNews! And if you’re not in one of those thriving shitopolises, there might be a vegan drinks in your town as they’re happening all over the country tonight because they’re often on the last Thursday of the month. Party vegans (and veg-curious! And veg-friendly!) see you TONIGHT to get down to what vegans do best: talk shit on omnivores and drink away our collective rage/sorrow/angst. HOT.
Please enjoy this professional joke graphics below:
SF Vegan Drinks is Thursday! »
Hey vegan drinkers, guess who got a new job?! Me! So guess who can attend next week’s installment of vegan drinks? ME! Scout out the shy-but-intellectual-looking one in the corner. Or the balls-to-the-wall drunk, I could easily be either.
As usual, it will be held at Martunis (on the corner of Valencia and Market Streets) from 6 to 8 p.m. this Thursday, July 28. I am so
getting seven trying the $5 Summer Mai Tai Martini special!
