DUDETTES! AND DUDES! So Delicious is really bringing it lately! First, Coconut Whipped Cream. Now, Candy Corn and Pumpkin Spice ice cream popsicles OH MY GOooooOOODNESS. Not sure when these hit the shelves but probably soon because it’s already autumn and it’s time to stuff our faces with candy corn ice cream.

VEGAN COOL WHIP IS COMING. And it’s not made from nasty chemical death! It’s made from delicious coconut cream! And it looks EFFING AMAZING OH MY GOD GIVE IT TO ME NOW. (That’s the technical term for how it looks, fyi.)
In four weeks, So Delicious Dairy Free will be launching its brand-new CocoWhip—a vegan coconut-based whipped cream. There really is nothing more to say, is there?
No. No there is not.

Triple chocolate vegan pudding! I found this on GoDairyFree.org. I haven’t really made a lot of vegan pudding—I like pudding, I don’t know why I haven’t experimented with it more—but this is something obvious that never occurred to me! Use a vegan chocolate milk instead of regular vegan milk! A-duh! This also has cocoa powder and chocolate chips, in addition to So Delicious chocolate coconut milk. So, yeah. Come at me, bro.

So Delicious, the brand that has long satisfied many vegans’ ice cream cravings, has come out with a new line of no sugar added vegan frozen confections with erythritol as the primary added sweetener.
Why is this important? For one thing, after working for nearly two years at The Tree of Life, a raw vegan retreat center and holistic health facility, I learned from the vegan medical staff that erythritol is much healthier for us than processed white sugar. Since it is a sugar alcohol, and has a super-freaky-sounding name (almost as creepy as xylitol), erythritol isn’t nearly as weird or bad as it sounds, and can be derived from non-GMO, ethically sourced plants. While many companies wanting to provide “no sugar added” sweeteners to their products dump in aspartame, Splenda, and other artificial sweeteners that have been linked to a host of maladies, So Delicious made a “no sugar added” line right, and went with a safe, low-glycemic sweetener. Bravo!
The best part about this science is that it tastes so amazing. To be fair, my palate became used to all kinds of natural sweeteners while working at The Tree (Stevia is my bff), I suspect most ice cream fanatics mindful of avoiding sugar-related side effects will seriously love it. This has no weird aftertaste. (Stevia sort of does; I don’t notice it anymore, but this confection definitely has no funky aftertaste whatsoever.) The “No Sugar Added” fudge bars are by far the best vegan fudgesicles I’ve ever had. They are creamy, decadent, with strong notes of coconut and just the right amount of cacao. Perfect! I also love the No Sugar Added Vanilla Bean, which could be added to a bowl of berries or atop a slice of lovely raw vegan pie. In sum, these are indeed sooooo delicious! Get them now at local Bay Area health food stores!
Note: If you have pets, do NOT feed them xylitol or erythritol. They can’t process it in their adorable little bodies, but don’t take that as a sign we shouldn’t be ingesting it, too: remember, dogs can’t have chocolate and other things our livers are perfectly equipped to process in moderation.

somewhere Megan shops in Brooklyn at Whole Foods in Philadelphia. Hot damn! Has anyone tried it yet?? How does it compare to my beloved Silk Nog? It’s definitely a less-evil company, so if it’s good, I’m all about the switch! And has anyone tried So Delicious’ COCONUT NOG? What do you think? Don’t hold back on me, man! This is the shit I live for!

Well, the philanthropist geniuses over at Turtle Mountain are at it again!* Having brought us delicious soy yogurts and soy creams for years, they now bring something to the market I’ve never had before, COCONUT YOGURT. And it’s good. It’s REAL good. That was meant to sound slightly creepy.
Flavors currently available are vanilla—THE VERY BEST, eat this all the time! Eat it alone, put it on granola, top it with berries, pour it on your genitals, WHATEVER IT TAKES JUST GET IT INTO YOUR BODY; plain—good but probably best as a base for a sauce or in cakes, etc.; blueberry—delicious blueberry yogurt; raspberry—delicious raspberry yogurt; and then some more adventurous mixes that involve mango and passion fruit and whatnot that are decent, but I am not one for tropical-flavored anything, it always tastes like tropical-fruit-flavored Skittles, which always tasted like gross to me. But I ain’t the boss of you, maybe you like gross!
I’ve only seen these for sale at Whole Foods, Rainbow Grocery (where one day I hope to be buried in the baked goods section), and other specialty health food stores, and they are around $2 for a 6oz container (roughly 150 calories, depending on the flavor). Oh and vegans, each serving has 30 percent of your daily intake for B12! What what!
*I know, this expression is super-obnoxious, I just can’t help myself! I love how it sounds!
