Vegan Thanksgiving plate: cider glazed sweet potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, corn souffle, mushroom gravy, stuffing, field roast’s celebration roast, cranberry sauce.
This looks good but I’m a bit distracted by how much I love that plate! Want it!

A Very Rascal Thanksgiving »

Since I am in charge of posting Thanksgiving pics today, of course I will post my own! As everyone knows, the Rascal household, while predominantly omni, is super vegan friendly. So as per usual, I had just as many options as the omnis, if not more. Above is my favorite, the root vegetable cobbler. It’s so good! A new classic.

My omni friend Kevin Still came to my house for Thanksgiving dinner and his only request was a green bean casserole. I’ve never had this, kind of 1950s, but he and I made a nice vegan version from PPK! It went over very well.

Our neighbor and dear friend Jim is the regional pie king. Not only did he make like 4 omni pies for dessert, he made a lovely vegan apple pie just for me! See? It has the cutest V on it! That means it’s all for me.

And no holiday is complete without formal-wear-Fig. This is actually more his casual chic look. Very handsome!
Hope everybody had as nice a time as me!

And for dessert, Vegan pumpkin cheesecake with cinnamon snap crust and caramelized pecan topping.

We had shiitake/leek stuffed seitan loaf with roasted potatoes and butternut squash, asparagus and yummy stuffing with mushroom gravy. It was my first vegan thanksgiving and it turned out fantastic!

Hi guys! I’m taking over Thanksgiving pics today! First up is a lovely spread from Ariel!:
Kabocha squash and fennel bisque, mushroom gravy, Tunisian beet slaw, “lotus flower” salad (endives, pears, red onions, pecans and arugula with apple cider dressing), Mama’s spicy cranberry sauce, Seitan roulade with fig and chestnut stuffing, Brussels Sprouts with pomegranate, pistachios and molasses, heirloom tomatoes with fresh dill, pumpkin pie with a hazelnut paste lined crust…And mashed purple potatoes (not pictured). I’m so full, and so tired, and I need someone to help me eat the leftovers! At my dinner where I was the only vegan several guests volunteered to ditch the meat knowing that life could taste so good.
Sounds like a vegan success!

Okay, I lied! One more tonight because it’s very gorgeous and very tasty:
I had mashed potatoes, stuffing, Asian coleslaw, French onion soup, cranberry rhubarb sauce, and green bean casserole.
I’m really loving the amount of food I’m seeing on all these plates, it’s crazy impressive. Way to EAT, my friends. HAPPY THANKSGIVING VEGANSAURS!!
The tradition of staring at delicious plates continues tomorrow! Until then, let’s sleep PLEASE GOD I MUST SLEEP.
