Hail Merry macaroons are hella cheap right now on Vegan Cuts, assuming you want a whole lot of them. A long time ago I told you how obsessed I am with these delicious confections, and like with all good celebrity relationships, time has not weakened my passion.
Here’s what you can do with the 10 bags you get for $30 (free shipping!) with this deal: Stocking stuffers for all seven dwarves, Snow White, the witch, AND the huntsman. Party favors for your softball team. Hella-easy potluck contribution. Eat them all yourself.
[Note:/ Though it might seem like we’re shilling for Vegan Cuts these days, we’re not, they’re just kicking ass with the goodies. We always let you know when we get free stuff.]

Vegan snack box coming to your door! »

Heads up! Vegansaurus sponsor Vegan Cuts is doing a monthly vegan snack box subscription thing and I’m pretty excited. I loved this idea when Lollihop did it but I understand they folded? I’m pretty confident Vegan Cuts can pull through though—they seem to be super successful (no, I’m totes not jealous they have twice as many FB fans as us!). Septembers box is sold out but you can apparently pre-order for October like I did.
There’s also a super-healthy vegan and gluten-free (soy-free too!) snack box subscription, Healthy Surprise. I believe we will have a review of that soon but you can read the site to get an idea about what kind of snacks come in the box.
I love snacks and I love getting things in the mail—it’s perfect! Really though, what’s better than snacks and getting stuff in the mail? Nothing!

Pretty necklaces for vegans, on sale! »

Look what delight came to my inbox today! Pretty necklaces by Design Specimen. I’m not that into the choker but I love the ones on the chains (Update: Design Specimen says they can put any charm on a chain instead of choker (and I’m sure the other way around as well), just ask!). I love all the pendents though. I think it’s because they remind me of my beautiful smushed penny collection. Speaking of which: get me smushed pennies on your travels and I’ll love you forever!

Product Review: Sprout Skincare! Made in BK, on sale today! »

I know you guys are going to love Sprout! Why? All but one set of lip balms are vegan, plus:
All of Sprout’s ingredients are either certified organic, Fair Trade, or sourced from small, family farms. We’re committed to creating the most effective products in the most responsible way, taking all of our ethical obligations into account.
Nice, right? I know you like organic, sustainable, fair trade stuff. Sprout sent me a bunch of samples to test out and now I will tell you all about them!
Overall, I love these products. I tried the vegan lip balm first and it’s nice. Not too heavy like you’ve got icky wax caked on. Then I tried the cleanser. It smells nice, but I don’t really understand it. It’s the consistency of water so I didn’t know how to rub it in exactly. But they say it is great for sensitive skin and I imagine it really is. It’s made with only rose water, vegetable glycerin, and tea tree oil. All of their products are like that—only a few ingredients and no gross chemicals! Like their signature cream is just shea butter, extra-virgin coconut oil, and extra-virgin olive oil.
The cream is awesome! Very moisturizing. And I had weird patches of skin on my elbows when I got these products so I put the cream on them for a few days and it fixed it! Dang weird elbow skin.
But the two products I really love are the exfoliant and the body scrub. They might be too rough for sensitive skin but I imagine sensitive skin people don’t exfoliate that often? But if you like exfoliants, you can’t get better than these. The face exfoliant makes your skin so nice and smooth. And the body scrub—that stuff rules. It’s cool because it moisturizes while you’re scrubbing. That seems like such a genius idea, right? Moisturizing while your scrubbing off dead skin, totes genius.
OK, now that you have my recommendations, I have some good news for you!: Vegan Cuts, everyone’s favorite site for deals on vegan stuff, is having a sale on Sprout starting TODAY!* It’s only for three days so get on that more sooner than later. And get some of that exfoliant!
PS: who else loves the packaging? I’m totally into it!
*Someone pointed out that there’s a Vegan Cuts banner next to this post—they are part of our new vegan-friendly advertising push! That’s not why I linked though, I don’t make any money linking to them. I waited until there was a sale on Sprout to do my review because I know you guys like a sale and like instant gratification.

This week only: Vaute Couture shirts on sale at Vegan Cuts! »
What time is it? SHOPPING TIME. And as a thoughtful, stylish vegan consumer, you want to give presents that your friends and family will cherish forever. Or, you want to buy yourself stuff because you’re tired and it’s only Tuesday but it’s almost December, where does the time go, you deserve a present.
Vegan Cuts to the rescue! This week only, they’re selling two Vaute Couture tees for 25 percent off! One style is brand new! They are both adorable, made of sustainable, fair-trade materials, and really the biggest problem here is deciding which one you want, because you’re limited to one per person.
Maybe get your friend to buy one and you buy the other and you can share them! Or convince your relations that they should buy one of each style and give them both to you! Or, you know, buy one as a gift for someone you love, because now is the season of being less selfish.
The deal expires this weekend, so get to Vegan Cuts and buy a shirt! Only if you like deals and shirts, though. Maybe saving money and putting fabric on your body aren’t your things. That just means more awesome clothes for the rest of us.

Oh hell yeah, this week’s Vegan Cuts is for 40 TINY BARS OF CHOCOLATE. Let me say that again, because it’s insane: FORTY TINY BARS OF CHOCOLATE. It’s $20 including shipping, for those of you interested in details.
This is perfect for anyone throwing a party with favors (wedding? rave?), or for someone who has very few children come to their door and wants to give out the most gourmet treats ever for Halloween. Don’t let that tidbit get out on the internet though, or mobs will be trampling your petunias and shit.
I’ve had this New Tree stuff before and I rather quite like it. One time I was at an event where they were giving out samples and I went through the line like six times, because that’s how I roll.
Oh, and if you’re going to order 40 TINY BARS OF CHOCOLATE, you should probably send some to me. That is all.

Vegan Cuts: discounts for the vegan folk! »

Vegan Cuts launched today with 40 percent off a vegan skin care kit from Moxie Organix! Vegan Cuts is kind of like Groupon but just for vegan stuff. And I know you vegans are some poor mofos! Every good vegan loves a deal, and every girl band deserves funding. Two Universal Truths.
From the company:
Vegan Cuts makes it easy and fun for their members to discover new vegan companies and shop vegan. Member receive weekly emails featuring exclusive deals from vegan companies. Most deals will be open to people living in the U.S., but some will also be extended to Canada or online shoppers.
Vegan Cuts is run by a vegan couple, John and Jill, who want to see more people shopping with vegan ethics. They feel a commitment to buying vegan food is a great start, but know people can also make a positive difference by choosing vegan options when purchasing clothing, shoes, accessories, body care products and everyday household items. This is why Vegan Cuts will feature a range of vegan products and encourage members to shop vegan by promoting opportunities to save money while eschewing animal cruelty.
Vegan Cuts has a referral campaign that encourages new members to sign up and share a referral link with their friends on Facebook and Twitter. The three people who refer the most new members by Apr. 24, 2011 will be eligible to win a gift certificate from Susan Nichole Handbags, a Texas Treat Tower from Nacho Mom’s Vegan Queso and a Coconut Bliss prize pack. For more on the Vegan Cuts referral campaign, read the Vegan Cuts blog post: Refer Friends & Win Awesome Prizes.
Sounds like a good opportunity to BUY BUY BUY while supporting vegan companies. I’m pretty excited! I hope they get SHOES. Maybe they will expand and be a barbershop/coupon website. Because that logo could totally work for a vegan barbershop. Am I right? Or maybe like a vegan plastic surgeon.
You can follow them on Facebook and Twitter if you want to get modern about it. And I know you vegans are some modern mofos!
