The next SF Vegan Bakesale is Saturday, Jan. 15! »
We were rained out in December (boo!) but we’re back for more! That’s how we do! The new! and improved! bakesale will take place in the Mission in front of Speesees at 1415 Valencia St. (between 25th and 25th Streets) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. That’s about three blocks from BART so NO EXCUSES and we’ll see your lazy asses there. Speesees is also offering a 10 percent discount on their adorable organic baby and kid clothing to all bakesale attendees. I know your friends are having kids like crazy so no reason not to buy them cute crap. This is America, after all. Consume!
Oh yes, all monies from the bakesale will still benefit the wonderful non-profits, MickaCoo (pidgy rescue!) and Muttville (senior shelter dogs!)!
SO THE QUESTION IS: Can you bake??? YEAH YOU CAN, WHAT ELSE YOU GOT GOING ON? NOTHING!!! (How rude!) Anyway, Let me know!

As we all sit around, feeling helpless and hating greedy consumerism and oil (which we should be doing because it’s all THE DEVIL), let’s unite and doooo SOMETHIIIING. Since we’re all psycho vegans (and vegetarians and people who appreciate how hot and smart vegans and vegetarians are), we probably have pets. Some of us have a ridiculous amount of pets too because we’re crazy animal people and will probably be featured one day on Hoarders from under a pile of newspapers being all, “I swear, I just need ‘em for the crossword puzzles!”.
But I digress. The point is, we all have animals and they’re all sheddy mo-fo’s and we need their hair and fur to combat the oil spill. Yes, their hair and fur. We’re gonna send it to Matters of Trust and then they’re gonna use it to collect oil because that’s what hair does best (my head just typed that because I totally need to shower). In fact, watch their awesome YouTube video to see how it works.
OKAY SO, we’re going to be collecting hair and fur to soak up oil at this Saturday’s SF Vegan Bakesale in front of Herbivore on Valencia. We’ll be collecting it all and shipping it in one big box (or more if you got like 50 cats) so yeah, come by! Buy a cupcake! Bring some hair! Save animals like there’s no tomorrow! BECAUSE AT THIS RATE, THERE MIGHT NOT BE. Jesus H!

Rocket Dog Rescue Needs Foster Homes! »
That’s Kaiden. He is an awesome pit bull who gets along with everyone. He’s at a high kill shelter and Rocket Dog Rescue really wants to save him. Can you help by fostering?
RDR wants to rescue a bunch of dogs (mainly medium- and large-sized), and they need foster homes for them ASAP or they’ll have to leave them behind. Fostering is super-simple: RDR basically pays for everything and you just take care of the dog as if she were your own until she gets adopted. It’s easy-peasy. C’mon, you totally want to save a life today YOU KNOW IT. If you don’t do it, nobody else will. Seriously; that’s how it works.

» Tell Chipotle we want vegan burritos everywhere! Please & thank you!
Chipotle is test-marketing a vegan burrito in its D.C. location and we need to let them that we want it in all 837 of their restaurants! I know walking into a Chipotle in San Francisco is basically like going on a 12-state killing spree (but less understandable I MEAN WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?) but you know, sometimes we travel. And think of the poor vegans in Boise JUST THINK OF THEM FOR ONCE YOU ARE SO SELFISH.
Email the company and post on their Facebook wall and let them know, we want all up in that piece. The good people over at Fuck Yeah, Animal Rights tried the burrito in question yesterday and report that it’s delicious and the same price as a regular beans-and-rice burrito. We’ll take it!!
