He sure hates animals a lot!

When the legislation that passed in the farm bill that says that it’s a federal crime to watch animals fight or to induce someone else to watch an animal fight but it’s not a federal crime to induce somebody to watch people fighting, there’s something wrong with the priorities of people that think like that.
Congratulations, Steve King; you may be a plain old asshole representative in the House, but you’re the president of the He-Man Animal-Haters Club in our hearts.

The decision in United States v. Stevens was 8-1 against the law banning “the interstate sale of depictions of torture and killing of animals” based on its violation of First Amendment rights, and get this—that one vote keeping the ban in place was Samuel goddamn Alito.

Wonkette, which I adore, wanted to let you all know that some crazies at a website called Rightly Concerned posted something really gross last week titled “Bible ignored, trainer dies” that says that if Sea World Orlando officials had been reading the Old Testament, they’d have known that disobedient animals “shall be stoned,” just like naughty oxen, so get on that already and kill it, KILL IT NOW BEFORE IT KILLS AGAIN DEMON SPAWN OF THE SEA.
